Here we are during morning meeting playing our favorite game, Rumpelstiltskin. Morning meeting happens every day in our room. We greet each other, share, participate in an activity and write a message together. It's a great start to our day.
This week we stared math boxes. During our math box time we sequence 15 numbers. Then we write the numbers, say them forwards and backwards. Lastly, there is a number game to play. During this time Ms. Hopp can work with individuals or groups of students.
We've also been reviewing letter names and sounds. Next week is the PALS assessment. This assessment is a state assessment. There will be a guest teacher in our room on Thursday and Friday so I can pull students out of the room and assess them on their phonological awareness (letters, sounds, words). I will be at school those days, so you can still reach me there.
